BIOGRAPHY

Hi, I’m Laura. Vocal coach, actress, business owner, teacher, northerner and dog enthusiast.  Being a professional performer myself, I understand the demands of the industry and how frustrating vocal training can feel. Having trained in musical theatre since the age of 14, believe me when I say I know how it feels to want to take control of your voice! As performers, we ask so much of it, but it can sometimes be a bit of a minefield to navigate.

After graduating from RCSSD and working professionally, I started my journey with Vocal Balance. A technique that offered a de-cluttered approach to singing, making it simple and easy to create a fantastic sound? COUNT ME IN! I got so much from my own lessons that I embarked upon the Vocal Balance Teacher Training course and haven’t looked back since. I have seen the VB technique work wonders for so many of my clients and it gives me so much joy to spread the word and help other performers navigate their training and careers.

Along with technical coaching, I coach performers with acting through song, audition preparation, drama school applications and exam entry. I am also a very proud Mental Health First Aider and have a wealth of experience in working to overcome performance anxiety and nerves. Singing is holistic and it’s so important that we approach it that way to make sure we are looking after our voices and ourselves in the best way possible.

If you’re looking to brush up on your technique in a safe and supportive environment, then come along and experience a lesson for yourself. I teach out of the beautiful C. Bechstein Centre in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, as well as online.

CAN’T WAIT TO SING WITH YOU SOON!
